He m. (2) Elizabeth Curtiss PERSIANIE. He was received into the Northford church Aug. 9, 1840. Res. Northford, Ct. (Ref. Hoadley Gen.) ("Button Collecting," by Polly Crummett, p. 70):
"It is said that a Mr. E. C. Maltby of Northford, Connecticut, made buttons of bone, ivory, horn and wood and that he had four peddlers' wagons on the roads."
